Beccles itself is a small, historic market town around 15 miles to the south-east of Norwich and around 8 miles to the west of Lowestoft. 

Beccles Rowing Club is located on one of the private riverside plots off Puddingmoor in Beccles, just a few hundred metres from the town centre. As the club is located down a private drive, it can be a little difficult to find so we recommend you give us a call and we can make arrangements to meet you. The club benefits from an excellent stretch of water. The River Waveney meanders for many miles to Oulton Broad, Great Yarmouth and Norwich (some 36 miles!). The river is tidal but seldom strong enough to prevent us from boating. Summer  on the Waveney is busy due to river traffic, but the river is wide enough to accommodate all users, and now the club has its own pontoon (rather than the one we used to use which was open to the public) we no longer have to vie for position or call outings off due to lack of launching space.
